Hi Carole,
Yes, these are on the sweet side of cheesy little biscuits. This is a Southern recipe, but keep in mind, you can reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup or even to 1/2 cup, and see if they turn out to your liking. Plus, adding some chives sounds great! Go for it! And, please come back and let us know how they turned out (with less sugar). I hope this helps! 🙂

It sounds like a lot of sugar so want to check before making that 1 cup is correct. Thanks. Do you think that adding some chives would be okay?

Hi Donna! I only made these mini biscuits in the “mini” muffin pan, but I am sure you can. If larger in size, I can only guess they will need additional baking time, possibly from 15 to 18 minutes, (haven’t tried them in a normal size muffin pan yet) so you will have to keep an eye on them.

Although I’ve never been to a Jim & Nick’s restaurant, I’ve actually made their recipe for cole slaw which is my favorite slaw recipe! Now I need to try these biscuits too 😉 They look wonderful!
