In reply to Susan. Hi Susan, You are not wrong. Everyone has a different method or way of cleaning vegetables. Your way happens to work best for you and that’s great. I guess we can all agree on the important thing is that the vegetable gets cleaned regardless the method.

I was always taught to rinse/clean my broccoli first before cutting it up. Then you are not spreading germs/dirt or whatever to the rest of the broccoli as you are cutting it and there is no need then to soak it in water which is what you appear to be doing. Correct me if I am wrong here.
