What if you can’t find mozzarella balls already marinated?  Easy!

They normally come in a container filled with water.  Drain the liquid and place mozzarella balls into a small salad bowl.  Then drizzle over them with extra virgin olive oil, and season with salt, black pepper, and chopped basil or parsley.

Then gently toss them until well combined.  Cover and chill for about an hour before skewing them onto the sticks.

Best when served chilled!

Liz purchased FORMAGGIO – All natural Fresh Mozzarella in our Marinade, from Costco. Then she also purchased a container of cherry tomatoes which are bite-size tomatoes.

With 6-inch skewers, she created these kabobs that were so refreshing and delicious, your guests will love!

Pierce the mozzarella and tomato onto 6″ wooden skewers, alternating between mozzarella and tomatoes.

Should come out to 3 mozzarella’s and 2 tomatoes per skewer, leaving about 2-3 inches on the flat end of the stick for pick up.

Yields: about 25 skewers.

Here’s a tip:

Use smaller wooden skewers (about 4 to 5-inches in length) and alternate as you like,  allowing you to yield more when serving.

Have fun with this one!
