The Hummingbird Smoothie

The Hummingbird Smoothie ~a light, sweet and delicious drink that reminds me of all the delicious flavors found in a popular Southern cake known as the hummingbird cake, including the warm cinnamon spice, except it's in a chilled SMOOTHIE!
  • 1 small banana
  • 3 chunks of fresh pineapple
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped pecans
  • ⅛ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. light brown sugar
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • ½ cup Almond milk, original
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • whipped cream, as garnish
  1. Place the first 8 ingredients into a blender, and puree for about 2 minutes.
  2. Pour into a tall glass or 2 six ounce glasses.
  3. Garnish with whipped cream on top and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
  4. Optional: for some extra crunch, garnish with some crushed pecans as well!
  5. Place a straw in each glass. Serve immediately.
  6. Serves 2
