Anna and Liz!

I am SO THRILLED that you stopped by my blog to say 'hey'! I simply love Charleston too and I don't know if you know this or not, but my husband and I moved to South Carolina in 1996, so this will be our summer to celebrate 17 wonderful, beautiful, delicious, awesome years in the Palmetto State. We moved from Iowa for my husband to teach at Clemson and for me to teach USC (friendly family rivalry). We live on our dream acreage with horses in Abbeville (west of Columbia and north of Augusta, GA). I LOVE to come to the spring home and garden events during my university's spring break and we go to Hilton Head every Thanksgiving. Today, June 19th our daughter married her SC high school sweetheart and had her reception outdoors on our acreage, but it was 105 degrees, unlike the mild spring that we are having here in the Upstate this year at 85 degrees!

I am so thrilled that you enjoy your new home in SC. I hope that you fall in love with it as much as we have. As I said on Facebook just this week with a sunset posted from Beaufort, after returning from 2 weeks in Hawaii, there is literally no sunset in Hawaii as beautiful as those that we enjoy in this state . . . seriously. When everyone in Hawaii asked us, "Where is home?" and we reply, "South Carolina", the response was always "NICE!!!!" In my FB post I said that we are so fortunate to be able to come home from vacation to such a beautiful place.

I hope that you stop by more in the years to come!

Happy SC summer and more good times!
Cheers and salute'
Roz
La Bella Vita Cucina
