I really like your husband’s approach. You can go hog wild with complicated turkey preparations, but I simple, honest-to-goodness roasted turkey is perfect for me. My little trick is to stuff the neck cavity with sweet Italian sausage, so that as the turkey cooks, it helps keep things moist. One the turkey’s done, I mince the sausage and toss it in with the stuffing.

For as long as I can remember we go to my sister's house for Thanksgiving which means I NEVER need to know how to roast a turkey — if I ever do, though, this is the way I'd do it, simple is always best! Happy Thanksgiving!
