Shrimp Cocktail with Jalapeno Peppers makes a wonderful appetizer. An easy recipe for shrimp cocktail is made with already cooked shrimp that’s marinated with a wonderful combination of flavors infused by jalapeno peppers, cilantro and lime juice. The jalapeno peppers adds enough heat to the shrimp making them addicting and giving this shrimp dish such an incredible aromatic taste with a kick!
We love serving shrimp cocktail from time to time and we adore our other recipe for Shrimp Cocktail with Vodka Sauce. Only this time, we think this shrimp cocktail with jalapeno peppers happens to be one of the best shrimp cocktail we have ever served. Why ?
Well, for one thing, the taste is amazingly fresh! The lime juice along with the cilantro give the fresh taste to the shrimp. Then it’s served ice cold!
Best of all, we made it in less than 10 minutes! Making it ideal for busy people like me!
In order to speed up the time to make this dish, we bought the already cooked shrimp that comes frozen from Costco, bottled lime juice and fresh cilantro. Then marinate the shrimp in the fridge for a few hours before serving. Easy-Peasy!
I also bought La Costena green pickled Jalapeno peppers. These jalapeno peppers are known as Mexican hot peppers and boy they are HOT!
And, they provide a great source of iron, magnesium and niacin, along with Vitamins A, C, K,B6 and folate. They can be found fresh in your produce isle or pickled in the International isle at your local supermarket.
Whether your having a small soiree or a large dinner party, this is a wonderful dish to serve friends and family anytime. Everyone will love the shrimp, and its fun to watch how it disappears in no time! My dear friend Sue was so nice to share her recipe with us. Thanks Sue!

April 26, 2014 at 10:44 pmThis is a great summer recipe! Even better because it's mostly things I always have on hand. (even the costco shrimp!) I'm not a cocktail sauce fan, so I love the added flavor from the jalapenos. 🙂

June 30, 2015 at 12:39 pmShrimp is always perfect in the summer because it isn't too heavy on the stomach AND you don't have to turn on the oven to heat your house. Love the addition of jalapenos. Well done!
