Breakfast Parfait with Greek Yogurt, Fresh Berries and Granola. Good morning! Let’s think of new ways to embrace the start of our day by eating smarter and making healthier choices. And, with the most important meal of the day – breakfast! So, here is a simple idea which also keeps the prep time to a minimum on those busy mornings! Our Breakfast Parfait with Greek Yogurt!
Yes, this breakfast dish starts with our favorite Greek yogurt, layered with a mix of fresh berries and banana slices, topped off with a sprinkling of classic granola for some added crunch.
No secret recipe, just simplicity and deliciousness. A wonderful combination, it’s creamy, crunchy, sweet and delivers the best flavors to your taste buds.
The result is always fantastic! You might think this is a dessert in disguise!
Presentation is not just reserved for breakfast. Serve this as an afternoon snack, when hunger strikes and you won’t regret it.
Besides, we know there are attractive, alternative ways to serve your breakfast parfait. You can prepare it using the traditional tall glasses, repeating several layers, or be creative by serving this power protein parfait in one beautiful layer, using a wide dish as we did here.
Either way insures you a quick 5-minute ease of preparation. But the real benefits to be reaped are starting your day with a meal that provides nutritional protein, including probiotics, calcium, powerful antioxidants, potassium and fiber.
Leaving you feeling full longer with enough reserved energy to last throughout the day.
Most yogurts contain too much sugar along with additives, corn syrup, and other chemicals such as aspartame.
We know that. So with that said, it’s important to read labels before buying any Greek yogurt and find the ones that clearly states “all natural” and contain the lowest amount of sugar.
Mostly plain yogurts (non-flavored) are the ones that contain the lowest amount of sugar; and therefore, adding in your own sweetness, allows you to control the amount of sugar to your liking.
Fresh berries and bananas are wonderful to add as they provide enough sweetness needed to balance the yogurt.
This Breakfast Parfait with Greek Yogurt, Fresh Berries and Granola in a bowl makes an ideal breakfast! A win-win! It just bursts with so much flavor; breakfast just got a whole-lot-better! And – who knows, your family may even request this one to be served as a “dessert.”
Have a wonderful morning! Happy and healthy day!
Thanks for PINNING!
