Mixed Berry Protein Smoothie

Mixed Berry Protein Smoothie is a copycat recipe from my favorite health food store in my hometown.  My smoothie is made with protein powder, fresh mixed berries, bananas, non-dairy Almond beverage, walnuts, honey, and flax oil.

This mixed berry protein smoothie is a nutritional smoothie that contains an excellent source of antioxidants, and vitamins and it’s high in protein.

Great for the whole family and especially for teenagers who are always on the go.  Everyone can enjoy this smoothie as a quick and easy breakfast drink or as an afternoon snack.

Regardless, a healthy smoothie is a great way to start your day!

These days, protein smoothies are the “in thing” since they’re always recommended on popular shows, like Oprah and Dr. Oz.   Some of the ingredients in my recipe can be found in organic stores or in Stop & Shop Supermarkets.

Try them with your favorite fruits and beverages.  It’s a perfect way to promote your family’s healthy lifestyle.

So drink up, everyone!

Here’s a Tip:

How I prefer my smoothies.   I prefer my smoothies extra chilled.  So I buy fresh fruit, wash and freeze them in air-tight containers, including my bananas. It saves me time on the days when I can’t get to the market to buy them fresh.  Also, you can buy the frozen organic mixed berries in packages at your local health food stores to save time in the prep work.

  1. this sounds wonderful – I'd jump out of bed for this in the morning!Mary x

  2. Thanks Carla. The walnuts give a nutty flavor to the smoothie along with the flax oil that gives the Omega 3's. Definitely add them!
