Delicious Recipes Celebrating Rosh Hashanah

What is Rosh Hashanah?

Rosh Hashanah is the New Year in Judaism. It is the first day of the High Holy Days, and it is the traditional anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve. A shofar ( the horn, shown in the first photo above) symbolizes the coronation, and apples and honey are the symbols of the Rosh Hashanah holiday. The holiday is for 10 days, followed by Yom Kippur. Eating symbolic foods that represent good wishes for a sweet new year!

When you combine crisp Granny Smith apples with Bok Choy, you get a combination of deliciously sweet salad along with a crunchy texture. Best of all, the vinaigrette will intensify all the flavors even more!

Honey Roasted Sweet Potatoes ~  These sweet potatoes are glazed with honey and cinnamon and are the ultimate melt-in-your-mouth delicious! They are glazed with only 3 ingredients! One of our most favorite veggie sides!

Oven-Fried Sweet Potatoes ~ are the easiest side dish you’ll ever make!  All you need is a few sweet potatoes, olive oil, dried herbs, and a piping hot oven.  No need to use the fryer with this recipe; just cut each potato into wedges, bake for 20 minutes, and serve!

Dijon Honey Vinaigrette ~ It’s the perfect dressing for all types of salads. Delicious, sweet, and savory flavors – it’s so good, you’ll love this dressing for all salads. Plus, it is dairy-free and so easy to make; this recipe is a keeper.

Apple Crisp Bars (with fresh apples) ~ These delicious, sweet apple crisp bars are made with a layer of fresh apples and warm cinnamon, topped with a delicious streusel, then drizzled with icing.
