The fall is the time we take out our 6-quart Dutch oven and leave it on our stove top, simply because we prefer to use it often throughout the season. What is a Dutch oven?

A Dutch oven is a heavy pot with a lid, traditionally made of cast iron, that can be used on both the stovetop and in the oven.  The most popular Dutch oven is the well-known brand: Le Creuset. However, you can find many other brands of Dutch ovens in a variety of colors and price ranges.
