Avocado Spinach Fruit Smoothie

A sweet tasting Avocado Spinach Fruit Smoothie is easily made with pineapple, banana, baby spinach, Swiss chard, coconut milk, and of course avocado.  A delicious tasting smoothie that is not only enjoyable to drink, but very satisfying as well!  Smoothies like this Avocado Spinach Fruit Smoothie are wonderfully refreshing, packed with nutrients, and beneficial to help me get my day started.

After a holiday, it’s time to eat light for a day or two, and smoothies and juicing helps me to do that.

Our family loves and eats avocados almost every day.  So adding them to smoothies like this one was a no brainer.

Avocado provides not only nutrients, but also gives the rich and creamy texture to the smoothie, similar to a thick and rich milkshake.  It also provides a healthy fat, leaving you feeling full and satisfied for most of the day.

Normally, if I can I like to add in more super green vegetable in to my smoothies.  And, since I was out of kale, I decided to add in some Swiss chard instead (to try it out) and since it’s a “sister” to the super-food family, I thought why not?

Surprisingly, the taste and flavor was refreshing and sweet, leaving me feeling healthy all day.

Making smoothies are really effortless and fun too!  We like to pack them with nutrients that can provide essential vitamins, healthy fats and fiber to help create the perfect morning boost.

We love this recipe for Avocado Spinach Fruit Smoothie simply because it really makes an enjoyable taste and texture, like I am having a luscious dreamy milkshake. Yum!

Here’s a Tip:  Keeping chunks of pineapple and banana in the freezer, including already washed healthy greens will create creamier ice cold smoothies. No need to add additional ice.

Avocado Spinach Fruit Smoothie

A sweet tasting Avocado Spinach Fruit Smoothie is easily made with pineapple, banana, baby spinach, Swiss chard, coconut milk, and of course avocado. Helps boost your morning, leaves you feeling good and energetic!
Ingredients
  • 6 chunks of fresh pineapple (frozen)
  • ½ banana ( preferably frozen)
  • 1 small avocado
  • 1 + ½ cups baby spinach
  • 1 leaf of Swiss chard- rinsed, white stem removed
  • 1 + ½ cups coconut milk
Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients into a blender, and blend till smooth. Serve immediately.
  2. Serves 2

    This smoothie looks so creamy and delicious. I've never tried one with avocado but I'll need to fix that. Sorry about the stressful weekend – this weather is getting pretty old. Winter weary – ready for spring!

    I love smoothies and enjoy them almost daily. Love the healthy ingredients in yours. Avocado is one ingredient I haven't tried yet and it sounds like it would be delicious.

      Hello Beth! I tried doing that once, and for me I didn’t like how it changed its color and texture of the smoothie. So I am not a fan of doing that anymore. But hey-that’s me! It doesn’t hurt to try it yourself, and see what happens. Please let me know how it does turn out for you!
