Lately, our go-to dressing for salads is Honey Mustard Dressing, and this time we decided to make it from scratch. What could be better than using all-natural ingredients that we already have in our pantry? This homemade honey mustard dressing is every bit of creamy, tangy, and sweet delicious. It’s easy to prepare, and you won’t be disappointed!

Easy Homemade Honey Mustard Dressing…

This Honey Mustard Dressing is an easy way to spruce up your salads. This dressing is a mouthwatering addition that can elevate even the most basic salad. Go ahead and serve it with some of your favorite salads, it won’t disappoint! Try it over our baby arugula watermelon salad, best broccoli salad, lobster cobb salad, and crunchy broccoli raisins walnut salad.

Be sure to try it in sandwiches, over-sliced hard-boiled eggs, and more. But don’t stop there! Drizzle some dressing on grilled chicken breasts, or our grilled swordfish kabobs it’s AMAZING!

This salad dressing is easy to make with simple pantry ingredients! Just whisk all the ingredients into a mug or small jar. Then chill before serving.

  1. Yellow Mustard yellow mustard offers a crisp, tart-and-tangy flavor to this salad dressing. 
  2. Lemon Juice – for the most delicious dressing, it’s best to use fresh lemon juice.
  3. Honey – to balance the flavors, honey is a great natural sweetener.
  4. Mayonnaise – choose a good quality mayonnaise for the best flavor.
  5. Extra Virgin Olive Oil – it is best to use good quality extra virgin olive oil for this salad dressing.
  6. Vinegar – this salad dressing gets a tangy flavor from white balsamic vinegar.
  7. Seasonings – salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to season the dressing.

How To Serve Honey Mustard Dressing?

This honey mustard dressing is exquisite when paired with the most basic salad. In this photo below, I drizzled it over a bed of Romaine hearts lettuce, accompanied by slices of an heirloom tomato, several olives, chunks of cheese, and a soft-boiled egg.

Honey Mustard Dressing

Honey Mustard Dressing is both easy to make and delicious tasting. If you're looking for a way to spruce up your salads, this dressing is a mouthwatering addition that can elevate even the most basic salad.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes


  • 3 Tbsp. good quality mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. classic yellow mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 + 1/2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder


  1. Use a mug or a small mason jar, or a bowl, and combine all the ingredients until the dressing is smooth and creamy,
  2. Taste the dressing, and adjust the salt, if needed.
  3. Transfer the dressing into a small mason jar with a lid. Chill in the refrigerator until you're ready to use it.
  4. Simply spoon the amount of dressing you desire over your salad, and any remaining dressing can be conveniently stored in a mason jar. Remember to keep it chilled in the refrigerator for future use.
