How to Make Easy Lemon-Dijon Baked Cod?

For this recipe, you will need the following main ingredients:

  • COD FISH: For best results, it is recommended to use 1 pound (16 ounces) of cod, ideally selecting thicker pieces of the fish.
  • SEASONINGS: Sea salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder, are all you need to flavor the fish.
  • MUSTARD: Dijon course (with seeds) mustard works best with this recipe. It gives a delicious kick to the flavor. You can use yellow mustard as a sub if you don’t have Dijon.
  • CREAM: Use heavy whipping cream or heavy cream. The mixture will appear to be very thick when it is poured over the fish, but then it will thin out as it bakes with the fish.
  • BUTTER: Use good quality butter! Yes, this is a buttery, creamy lemon sauce for the cod; and it is divine! So don’t leave it out.
  • LEMON: For this recipe, it’s recommended to use actual lemon juice as it will provide the cod fish with a refreshing and pure flavor. (I forgot to add the lemon in the photo above)
  • GREEN ONIONS: Chopped green onions, also known as scallions, are added to the cod fish to enhance its flavor and texture.
