The famous BLT Sandwich…
America’s favorite BLT sandwich is commonly made with grilled crispy bacon, fresh crisp lettuce, and sliced tomato, all sandwiched between toasted bread with lots of mayo. It is so delicious. Still today, the BLT sandwich is still popular on menus across the country. It happens to be one of our favorite sandwiches too.

Reasons you should make this Loaded BLT Dip:
- First and foremost, this dip comes together in no time. After you fully cook the bacon, the rest comes together easily and in minutes.
- Secondly, you can serve this BLT dip two ways! You can serve it chilled (as I did here today), or serve it warm and bake this dip in either small ramekin dishes, or in a small baking dish.
- And lastly, it is a definite crowd-pleaser!

How to Make our Loaded BLT Dip?
OK, would you like to know how to make our loaded BLT dip? Well then, gather all the ingredients needed. Then, let us show you how easy it is to make it. Don’t forget, our full recipe card is located at the bottom. But first, let’s walk through our steps below so you can see what’s involved before you start.
1. First, Cook the Bacon: You will need to cook the bacon until it’s fully cooked and crispy.
Helpful Tip! You can cook the bacon in two ways: one way is in a skillet and on the stove-top. The second way is: you can bake the bacon on a baking sheet in the oven at 400 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes until the bacon is fully cooked. Either way, be sure to drain the bacon on paper towels.

*QUICK NOTE: oops…I accidentally left out the container of sour cream (as one of the ingredients) in the photo above.

2. In a mixing bowl, use a fork to mash the cream cheese and blend it with the mayo and sour cream until it’s creamy smooth.
3. Next, stir in the crumbled bacon and cheddar cheese. Mix until the mixture is well combined. Finally, stir in the diced tomato.

4. Place a few ribs of romaine lettuce on a serving dish or platter. Spoon the creamy mixture onto the bed of lettuce. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and freshly chopped parsley.
5. Serve this dip with sliced crusty crostini, corn chips, toasted pitas, crackers or sliced celery and carrot sticks.
Notes & Recipe Tips
- The Bacon: To make the BEST BLT Dip, we recommend using real bacon for this recipe. It makes all the difference in the world. It’s not recommended to cook the bacon in the microwave, because the bacon will become soggy and you won’t be able to crumble it as well.
- When Serving: Serve this dip chilled, as we did here. Or, you can serve it warm.
- Baking this Dip: To serve it warm/hot, you only need to transfer the mixture into an 8 x 8 baking dish. Sprinkle some additional cheddar cheese on top, and bake it in the oven, at 350 degrees F (180C) for 20 minutes, until it is heated through and cheese melts on top. Then allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- For Storing: Keep it covered and chilled in the fridge. It will stay fresh up to 2 days.
