Easy Hot Chili Cheese Dip – Only Three Layers!  This is a warm chili dip with all the Mexican flavors one expects.  Only this one is a quick and easy party dip that will surely be a hit!  This 3-ingredient hot chili cheese dip is made in 3 layers and in 5 minutes!  It happens to be one of our most popular appetizers! 

All you need to do is combine the three ingredients in three separate layers,  then microwave for 5 minutes and serve!

 That’s all it takes to make it!  Cool huh?!

So simple you will be amazed! 

Serve it warm!  This dip is so fascinating and addicting, everyone will be asking: “What’s in it?.. it’s SO GOOD!”

With combined flavors of cream cheese in one layer, chili in another, and melted cheddar cheese on top, makes this one delicious dip!  And a definite crowd-pleaser.  Everyone will rave about it!

Best to serve our chili cheese dip warm alongside some of your favorite tortilla chips, crackers, or crusty pitas.



 Tips for Success!

  • You can prepare this dip 2 days ahead, and keep it refrigerated.

  • It’s best to microwave this dish just before serving.

  • To reheat at the tailgate party, make the chili cheese dip in a disposable foil pan, cover with foil, set it on the grill over hot coals for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until all the cheese on top is melted. Then serve.

EASY Hot Chili Cheese Dip - Only Three Layers!

Easy Hot Chili Cheese Dip - Only Three Layers! Make a quick and easy party dip for your next football gathering or tailgate party and it will surely be a hit! Only 3 ingredients and 3 layers!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes


  • 1 package (8 ounces) of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • 1 can (15 ounces) Hormel Chili - without beans
  • 1 package (8 ounces) Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese


  1. Using a 9- inch x 2- inch baking pie dish.
  2. For the first layer, spread cream cheese on the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Then spread a layer of chili on top of the cream cheese.
  4. Next, top with shredded cheese, scatter the cheese over the chili until completely covered, about half the package or more as needed.
  5. Place the baking dish into the Microwave.
  6. Set to cook for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and it starts to bubble around the edges.
  7. Remove and set the dish aside for a minute to cool. Then serve immediately with baked tortilla chips on the side.
  8. Serves 8
