How to Thicken the Chili?

If you find the chili is too watery, or soupy, here are a few tips to help you thicken the chili:

  • Add some cornstarch into the chili, about 1 tablespoon and stir it into the pot. Simmer it longer, uncovered until it thickens.
  • Always remove the lid from the pot, is another way to thicken stews and chili, and allow the liquid to evaporate while the chili simmers on low heat.
  • You can always mash some of the beans, but not all of them. Beans will help thicken the chili.

Storing and Freezing:
