Pancake Day or Fat Tuesday!

Pancake Day or Fat Tuesday! by

Today is Pancake Day, also known as Fat Tuesday.  Good Morning Everyone!  Today is a day of celebration around the world with Christians who observe the day before Ash Wednesday, known as Pancake Day or Fat Tuesday!  Pancakes and other traditional foods are eaten the day before Ash Wednesday which marks the start of the Lent season.  Here are some delicious recipes for pancakes, waffles and even rich desserts!

The term Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday,” referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lent season, which begins tomorrow on Ash Wednesday.

And the term “Pancake Day” came about because it was a way to use up rich foods such as eggs, milk, and sugar, before the fasting season of 40 days of Lent.

Whether you’re planning to make pancakes, waffles or maybe an Italian lasagna for Fat Tuesday, here are some recipes for you to enjoy!  Just click onto the titles, it will take you to the recipe.

    1. Hmm, that is a tough question. But I would start with breakfast, then work your way down to desserts for dinner and then desserts again after dinner….lol !! No matter where you start, it’s all good! Enjoy and have a great weekend
